Rebecca T. McNerney

Rebecca T. McNerney is an experienced litigator who serves the interests of clients in both state and federal courts throughout the Carolinas. As a former federal and state prosecutor, Rebecca has twelve years of litigation experience including jury trials and an array of other contested hearings. During her time at the United States Attorney’s Office, she prosecuted cases involving firearms, violent crime, drug trafficking, and white collar crime. Additionally, she worked collaboratively with federal agents to proactively investigate drug trafficking organizations. In 2015, Rebecca was the recipient of the OCDETF (Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force) Case of the Year Award for her role in dismantling a methamphetamine drug trafficking organization in the Western District of North Carolina. During her time as a state prosecutor, she prosecuted violent crimes, drug related crimes, property crimes, fraud crimes, and driving related charges.

After a decade of prosecuting, Rebecca left criminal prosecution to open her law practice. Due to her vast experience in the courtroom, Rebecca focuses her practice on litigation related needs in the areas of elder law, estate/probate law, fiduciary law, and law enforcement defense.
